A speculative geometry sandbox where signed emitters blend Spatial, Counterspatial, Circular, and Radial operators until particles settle into inspectable form. Deterministic, shareable, and deliberately not a model of electromagnetism.

A chamber for invented fields

Counterspace Field Laboratory is an interactive three-dimensional field-composition instrument. Visitors place up to eight signed emitters, orient their axes, and blend four documented operators — Spatial, Counterspatial, Circular, and Radial — while a fixed-step particle simulation searches for persistent geometry.

Success is a memorable equilibrium event: a torus, shell, or axial candidate whose seed and configuration can be reproduced and shared. The laboratory explores invented vector fields inspired by geometric diagrams. It is an art-and-mathematics simulation, not a model of real electromagnetism.

How it is built

The simulation core stays framework-neutral: a CPU backend, fixed-step loop, finite-core forces, and schema-versioned share state. The portfolio packages that vanilla Three.js laboratory as @thrun-design/counterspace and mounts it on /lab/counterspace so the case study launches the same instrument.

Presets — Twin Orbit, Pressure Vessel, and Axial Engine — seed deterministic initial conditions. Low Sensory mode suppresses equilibrium choreography. Share URLs encode bounded emitter and field parameters without serializing GPU resources.
